Winners will perform with the Symphony in the 2027-28 Season.

Young Artists Competition
This biennial Young Artists Competition offer winners the opportunity to perform as guest artists with the Idaho State-Civic Symphony.

Junior and Senior Division winners will perform with the Idaho State-Civic Symphony

Senior Division Winner will receive a $2,000 scholarship
Students aged 19 or older (but not older than 24).
Junior Division Winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship
Students aged 18 or younger

Eligibility

Residency Requirement: Applicants must be legal residents of Idaho, or students attending high school, college, or university in the state of Idaho.
Junior Division: Students aged 18 or younger
Senior Division: Students aged 19 or older (but not older than 24).
A non-refundable entry fee of $50 is due with the application

Collaborative Pianist

Finalists are responsible for providing their own pianist if they qualify for the final round live recital. For out-of-town contestants (greater than 50 miles from Pocatello), a local pianist will be available for a brief rehearsal and performance the day of the recital at the contestant's expense.
